HYPOTHESIS TESTING FOR AN EXCHANGEABLE NORMAL DISTRIBUTION
Consider an exchangeable normal vector with parameters ????2, and ?. On the basis of a vector observation some tests about these parameters are found and their properties are discussed. A simulation study for these tests and a few nonparametric tests are presented. Some advantages and disadvantages of these tests are discussed and a few applications are given.
متن کاملMimicking Mars: a vacuum simulation chamber for testing environmental instrumentation for Mars exploration.
We have built a Mars environmental simulation chamber, designed to test new electromechanical devices and instruments that could be used in space missions. We have developed this environmental system aiming at validating the meteorological station Rover Environment Monitoring Station of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory mission currently installed on Curiosity rover. The vacuum chamber has been bu...
متن کاملSpontaneous fracture of an implanted posterior chamber intraocular lens.
PURPOSE Spontaneous fracture of an intraocular lens (IOL) haptic is a rare complication of cataract surgery. The authors report a case of spontaneous fracture of an implanted posterior chamber IOL. CASE Five years ago, a 12-year-old patient underwent linear lens extraction, posterior capsulotomy, and anterior vitrectomy due to traumatic cataract and received a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) b...
متن کاملa new environmental chamber facility
Mexico City’s air pollution is a persistent and pervasive environmental problem that has imposed health and economic costs on society. With Mexico’s expenditures on controls calculated in several millions of pesos per year and slow progress toward compliance with air quality standards, a critical need exits for better and more effective abatement strategies. With the current Federal Environment...
متن کاملThe UCR EPA Environmental Chamber
The UCR EPA chamber is a new large indoor environmental chamber constructed at the University of California at Riverside (UCR) under United States EPA funding for the purpose of evaluating gas-phase and secondary aerosol mechanisms for ground-level air pollution. The major characteristics of this chamber, the results of its initial characterization for gas-phase mechanism evaluation, and exampl...
